OVERVIEW

In alignment with the Singapore MICE Sustainability Roadmap’s vision, SACEOS and NTUC LearningHub have teamed up to develop the Certified Event Sustainability (CES) accreditation programme to raise sustainability standards across the Tourism & Events industry.

A groundbreaking initiative to redefine the standards for sustainability in the industry, the CES is Singapore’s first sustainability-focused accreditation for the tourism and events sectors.

It not only echoes the sentiments of the Singapore Green Plan 2030 but also aligns with the broader vision of creating a sustainable Singapore, as outlined in the Singapore MICE Sustainability Roadmap.

Who should attend: Professionals who are Event Organisers, Venue Owners/Operators, Service Providers (Stand Builders & F&B Caterer, Freight Forwarders), including the Eco-System for MICE & Business Events.

WHAT IS CES

Certified Event Sustainability (CES) is an accreditation for MICE & Events professionals recognised by-the-industry-for-the-industry. The display of this exclusive badge alongside your name indicates your dedication to your career in embracing and championing sustainability in the MICE industry. The course ensures currency and relevancy of professional knowledge in Event Sustainability. Accreditation can be achieved either by completing the two remaining elective modules or by attending SACEOS-accredited conferences.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Professionals from the entire MICE & Business Events eco-system including Business Events industry. Event Organisers, Venue Owners/Operators, Service Providers (Stand Builders & F&B Caterer, Freight Forwarders).

KEY FEATURES

Modular Structure: The programme consists of two core modules and one elective module. Upon completing each module, participants will earn a Statement of Attainment (SOA), certified by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG).

Path to Accreditation: Professionals are required to finish all modules within a 12-month frame to qualify for the CES accreditation, which will remain valid for three years. The CES accreditation is also required for MICE Sustainability Certification (MSC) which will be rolled out in Y2024.

Renewal Process: The renewal demands 12 to 15 hours of continuing education units to ensure currency and relevancy of professional knowledge. This can be achieved either by completing the two remaining elective modules or by attending SACEOS-accredited conferences.
