The Events Industry Council (EIC) launched the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) program to equip you with the knowledge and performance as a meeting professionals and promote the status and credibility of your meeting profession.
The qualifications for certification are based on professional experience, education, and a rigorous exam. The CMP exam was developed and is maintained by meeting professionals from all over the world to ensure that the program reflects the best practices in the meeting management field.
Professionals who have joined the MICE & Events industry for at least 3 years pursuing the CMP designation.
Receive up to 70% grant (subject to STB approval) on SACEOS courses through the Training Industry Professionals in Tourism (TIP-iT) which supports tourism companies in employee upgrading and leadership development.
Meeting Professionals with:
36 total months of full-time workexperience in the meeting,event, exhibition, hospitality andtourism industry within the pastfive years
Applicants with an associatedegree (or higher) inhospitality/tourism/eventsmanagement field may applyafter two years of workexperience provided both wereaccomplished in the past fiveyears
Full-time instructors who havetaught for three years in ameeting/hospitality universityprogram
25 clock hours of continuingeducation within the last 5years
Identifying a comprehensivebody of knowledge in themeeting managementprofession
Promoting industry standards,practices and ethics
Stimulating the advancement ofthe art and science of meetingmanagement
Maximising the valuereceived from the productsand services by CMPs

He was the Regional Managing Director of Asia Pacific for Senior Director of Asia Pacific Meetings & Events where he was responsible for growing the MICE business in the region. Sam has led commercial teams and MICE projects operating across key markets such as China, India, Japan, Australia and Malaysia.
