EVENT SPOTLIGHT: INSURETECH CONNECT ASIA
More than 1,000 attendees gathered at Suntec Convention & Exhibition Centre on 7 – 9 June 2022 for the inaugural in-person InsureTech Connect Asia (ITC Asia). Alongside insurance C-suite executives, the event also gathered founders and senior management attendees from insurtechs, investors and regulators.
Organised by Clarion Events, ITC Asia is the region’s largest gathering for the insurtech community. It is a place where industry professionals can gather insights into what role both insurers and technology will play in the future and understand the must-know regional dynamics when looking to operate successfully from regulators across the region.
3 days of jam-packed content sessions, meetings, bustling exhibition floor and networking
While virtual events have become the norm over the pandemic, nothing can beat face-to-face interactions. After two years’ hiatus of in-person events, the industry was eager to meet and exchange ideas on how they have adapted in the face of the pandemic.
ITC Asia brought together 180 of the best minds across the APAC insurance ecosystem as speakers. The event kicked off with two pre-conference workshops on the first day and continued with over 60 sessions happening across three conference tracks over the second and third day. It was really heartening to see the conference sessions being welcomed with a great crowd.
In addition to conference, ITC Asia also showcased 50+ of the most innovative insurtech players on the exhibition floor. The floor was bustling with industry professionals looking for leading-edge technology to improve their business efficiency.
All learning and content is not complete without fun and games and more networking as we treated all attendees to a poolside pre-event evening cocktail reception at Pan Pacific hotel pIus end of day drinks on the exhibition show floor. In fact, the number one objective cited by attendees was networking and this was demonstrated by over 3,000 meetings that took place during event show days, facilitated by a networking app made available to all.
With Singapore’s reopening to fully vaccinated travellers, the MICE industry as a whole is definitely recovering at a strong pace. ITC Asia itself saw nearly 40% of attendees coming in from overseas.
Richard Ireland, President of SACEOS and CEO of Clarion Events Asia shared, “We’re incredibly excited to be hosting all our guests at InsureTech Connect Asia. It’s been such a long time and we’re really delighted that everyone can come together to network, learn and see all the opportunities in this extremely vibrant insurance industry. We’re so delighted to have welcomed all our regional, local and international guests and it’s great to see that they are networking. It’s also great to see that live events area back and that live events are such a powerful medium for this particular industry.”
To ensure the safety and health of all participants, ITC Asia incorporated industry-leading event technology into the registration system. A seamless process of scan, print, collect – attendees simply scanned QR codes from their email confirmations with printing and collection made easy in a matter of seconds! Everyone was able to enjoy the event in a safe and swift manner.
