SINGAPORE, 16 July 2013 – SACEOS announces a new EXCO President and Executive Director, and creates position of Director Marketing Communications.

Janet Tan-Collis was elected SACEOS' 14th President in April 2013. The Chief Executive Officer of East West Planners, a full-service travel and destination management company, Janet has more than 30 years' experience in the MICE business. She is a recognized pioneer of the incentive travel business in Singapore.

She is also the first Incentive travel business owner to take the position of SACEOS President, succeeding a line of Exhibitions and Conventions business owners.

Janet's passion for entrepreneurship and service has made her a reputable industry lobbyist for talent mentorship and training. Her belief in new and creative approaches, drives her passion to extend unrivalled experiential travel to her global C-Suite clients.

With Janet, SACEOS has embarked on the era of 'refining and defining' as she champions the association to be more sustainable. Among other plans, she has activated SACEOS' first series of collaboration with Singapore's educational institutions, in a bid to contribute towards building a stream of talent sources for the MICE industry.

Lilian Kuan is seconded to SACEOS from the Singapore Tourism Board, to catalyse major projects for the MICE industry in talent development, industry relations and business development.

Most recently STB's Assistant Director, Capability and Innovation, Lilian has managed national projects in industry productivity and capabilities for the MICE, travel agents and tourist guides

sectors. Her astute understanding of the industry's complexities and dynamic evolvement are key to the re-positioning of SACEOS as a stronger, more cohesive industry association.

Lilian brings with her a solid track record in healthcare and tourism, with an international perspective, having served as STB's Area Director in Frankfurt from 2007 to 2010.

Mei-Sin has a solid track record in corporate communications, branding, strategic marketing and management for global companies such as the Emirates Group, Singapore Tourism Board and VisitBritain.

She honed her business acumen with more than five years of managing her own consultancy, when she gained wider industry experience initiating campaigns for the sports, media, automotive and lifestyle industries. Between 2008 and 2012, Mei Sin was a polytechnic lecturer in marketing and communications, to satisfy her passion for nurturing the younger generation.

For SACEOS, Mei Sin will drive the media relations, brand strategies, industry relations and partnerships. She will initiate e-marketing and e-communications platforms, to enable SACEOS engage more effectively with the local and international communities.
Mei Sin holds an MBA from the New York State University at Buffalo, and a BSc from the National University of Singapore.
