In this week’s SG SafeEvent Certification Spotlight, we speak to Charissa Meesriyong, Regional Operations Director of BCD Meetings & Events as she shares her organisation’s journey in becoming SG SafeEvent Certified and how the programme will help the MICE & Events industry provide a sense of assurance to all attendees.

1. What inspired you to be SG SafeEvent certified? 

Our continual strive for operational readiness in these unique times, ensuring the health and safety of our clients, staff, attendees and suppliers.

2. How was the journey in the programme?

The process and expectations on the requirements were clear and valuable in setting the same standard. We intend to push out these standards across the APAC region for local contextual implementation.

3. Why would you recommend other companies to come onboard? 

I would absolutely recommend other companies come onboard! The more that do, the more we can ensure consistent safe management measures across the industry.
