TRANSFORMATIVE MENTORSHIP COURSE: 12-13 AUGUST 2024
With talent development playing an increasingly important role in retaining and attracting talent, there is a growing need for mentorship in the MICE industry. This is why we developed the Transformative Mentorship course in partnership with Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT), with its successful first run taking place on 12-13 August 2024.
It was designed to equip professionals with essential mentoring skills. It covered a wide range of topics including mentorship foundations, types of mentors, roles of mentor and mentee, and strategies for fostering a mentoring culture. Additionally, learners explored the applications of the 3-Cs mentoring model to facilitate meaningful conversations through effective questioning and listening techniques.
Course Highlights
Over two days, participants explored key topics, including:
- Foundations of mentorship and different types of mentors
- Roles of mentors and mentees with strategies to foster a mentoring culture
- Effective questioning and listening techniques using the 3-Cs mentoring model
- Empathy and language in mentoring conversations to build stronger connections
- Feedback techniques and goal-setting strategies to empower mentees
The sessions were highly interactive, combining theory with practice to provide participants with practical tools for developing meaningful relationships and leading with empathy.
The maiden run received encouraging support from industry participants.
