Earn & Learn Programme by Nanyang and Temasek Polytechnic
The Polytechnics shared on the SkillsFuture Earn and Learn Programme. It is a work-study programme designed to give Singapore Citizens or PRs who are fresh graduates from ITE & Polytechnic a head-start in their MICE careers. This programme supports the transition into workforce by allowing individuals to secure full-time employment with MICE industry leaders, tapping on structured on-the-job and institution-based training so as to deepen skills and knowledge acquired in school after graduation. Participating MICE employers can recruit local fresh talent, within three years of graduation or the Operationally Ready Date for National Servicemen and prepare them to take up suitable job roles. Participating MICE employers will also be able to receive government grants of up to S$15,000 per participant.
Tourism Information and Service Hub (TIH) by Singapore Tourism Board
STB shared on the Tourism Information and Service Hub, or TIH in short, which is the first-of-its-kind open platform globally that allows for any business to contribute freely and access content and travel software service for use on their own digital channels. With TIH, any tourism business could submit content, enabling an open environment to advocate stronger industry participation, collaboration and networking opportunities. Such a model ensures that the tourism content and services are highly accessible to all our industry stakeholders regardless of where they are on their digital transformation journey.
Attendees now have a better understanding of:
1. What TIH is
2. Why they should participate in TIH; and
3. How they can come on-board
