SACEOS Administers MICE Enterprise Training Support Scheme
SACEOS APPOINTED BY WDA FOR
MICE ENTERPRISE TRAINING SUPPORT SCHEME
Singapore, 7 January 2014 – Faster, easier, simpler processes to qualify for the Enterprise Training Support (ETS) Scheme, jointly developed by the Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) and the Ministry of Manpower (MOM). Plus, companies stand to enjoy up to 90 per cent course fee support for accredited Singapore Workforce Skills Qualification (WSQ) training.
These are because SACEOS (Singapore Association of Convention and Exhibition Organisers and Suppliers) is appointed by the WDA to administer and promote the ETS for the MICE Indus- try.
SACEOS will act as a one-stop ETS centre for its members, assisting with training grant applications and approval, and to expedite reimbursements of training fees. Non-members of SACEOS may also approach the association for the same services, subject to priority rights to members. Alternatively, non-members of SACEOS may approach WDA directly.
In short, SACEOS’ involvement will help MICE companies save time, costs and manpower, yet take advantage of the ETS to boost their staff skills and productivity. SACEOS will help WDA reach more MICE companies and get them on board the ETS for staff training development programmes.
In the medium term, this will go a long way to sharpening Singapore’s competitive advantage.
SACEOS’ expertise will extend to sourcing of reputable, relevant programmes, and training development plans for its members.
Janet Tan-Collis, SACEOS’ President, says: “Our members are actually extended a very exclusive privilege by WDA. With SACEOS facilitating the entire process from application to reimbursements, there will be immense savings for all our members.”
